No Fall From Amazing Grace

Today’s lesson comes straight from the Bible. All research done by God’s hand, and wholly accepted by me. I hope that you find it as useful as I have. Privileges of Christian Liberty is the title of Galatians 5 and I’ll be teaching on the first four verses.

Galatians 5:1-5 says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

According to the notes for the key verse, (Galatians 5:4), The text is often misused to teach that the phrase “fall from grace” means that a person can lose his or her salvation. In the context of verses one through three, Paul is teaching how depending on the Law of Moses for salvation makes Christ’s work on the cross meaningless. Then in verse four, he speaks about those who think they can justify themselves through the law. Because these individuals chose to obey the law for salvation, they have no room for Jesus Christ and His grace. The key to understanding “you are fallen from grace” is seen in the verb exepesate (1601), which is better translated “have fallen.” It does not mean that the grace of God was evident at one time, and then lost. Rather, This person deviates from the true path of grace by choosing justification by law instead of by grace. Grace has a law associated with it, but the law has no grace, only restrictions (see Romans 2:12; 7:17). See note on James 2:14-19. ***NOTE*** Taken verbatim from the KJV Hebrew Greek Keyword Study Bible.

This does not mean that you should disobey the rules and laws of our government. This means that you cannot lose your grace by following the law (the Law of Moses), only by not having room for Jesus Christ and His Grace. Keep your heart, mind and soul open to Christ, as only His followers can. Keep your faith and His Amazing Grace will be abundant.

I love you! God love you!! Jesus Loves you!!! Go with Christ my friends.
