What Are You Looking For?

Do you need healing? Food? Clothing? A sense of peace? Protection from evil? Whatever the need, God will provide. We are living in some pretty rough times right now. Many people are finding themselves in a state of depression that they just can’t break. Some are angry, or frustrated. Some are having an increase of anxiety and panic attacks. Some feel alone AND lonely. I want you to know that there is someone you can turn to. Jesus is that man, and God has a plan. We may not know what that plan is, but we can trust that He has one.

God has given us many promises, and He will never break them. If you have a problem or a need, turn to Jesus. He is the only one that you can truly count on no matter the problem. 2 Corinthians 4 teaches us to “Never Give Up”. If the gospel is to be hidden, it is only to be hidden to those that are lost. In other words…those who don’t know Jesus Christ. He is our leader, healer, redeemer, comforter, and protector. That doesn’t mean that nothing bad will ever happen to us, but it does mean that we are loved beyond measure. Anything that we have is a blessing, but it is not what will make us righteous. And all things of this world are temporary! The things of God and Jesus are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:6 – 9 says: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness, hath shined in our hearts to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed but not in despair. Persecuted but not forsaken: cast down, but not destroyed.

What this means is; Jesus is the light of the world. We are the world. However, the glory belongs to God and we must give it to Him. Without Him, we are nothing. What we have in this life is of the earth, but we would have nothing without Jesus Christ. Our love of Christ cannot be taken from us, and no matter what, His love cannot be taken from us either. No matter what happens to us or what we have to live through while we are still on earth, we still have Jesus Christ. Through our faith in Him, we are given grace, and we are renewed day, by day (as seen in verse 16). Verse 17 says: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”. Our time on earth is but a moment in relation to all eternity. We may suffer in this world, but we will be rewarded when we join Jesus in Heaven. He has prepared a mansion for us. We will feel the glory of Jesus Christ forever.

2 Corinthian 4:18 goes on to tell us: While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Verse 18 backs up what I said earlier. Life is hard, and in some cases, people suffer much more than they should have to. But if we hang on to our faith, and keep looking forward to what God and Jesus will provide for us, our suffering will not be in vain. We will see our loved ones again. Our bodies will be healed and whole. None of us will wonder when or where we will find food and shelter. We will have the finest garments upon our backs, and none of us will ever have to worry about anything ever again. Share your faith with others that they might see the blessings coming to those who love and follow Jesus Christ. Like you and me!

God Loves you and SO DO I !!!
