Where There's A Will, There's His Way

Today’s culture, no matter where you go, doesn’t encourage the trusting of or waiting on God’s Will. Due to this lack of encouragement, you may question your faith, whether God is indeed “watching” you, or even your worth to Him. I hope that I can help you restore your faith in God’s Word and strengthen your acceptance of His love.

Isaiah 55:8-12 - For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

We don’t think like God, therefore, we cannot perceive His thoughts on His PERFECT plan for us. Only He knows what His plans entail. Only He knows what is truly happening in our lives, as well as the lives of others, and even in the rest of the world. He made us in His image, but when we don’t “think” like Him, are we really following what He wanted in our creation? I don’t think so! God has Willed that we grow in His image by having faith in what He says. The main difference in a believer versus a non-believer is how we judge things. If you’re thinking like God, you bring God into everything, while trying to understand His perspective and values…not ours. God looks at things in a manner that shows Him the full outcome and effect for eternity. Can you do that? No, but you can have faith that God really does know what He’s doing. And that He knows what’s best.

Jeremiah 29:10-14

10For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. 11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Just as with the Israelites, God promises, "I'm going to bring you home. You will no longer be in exile. I will give you the promised land. I will give you My rest." We have been seeking "the rest of God”. He says He will give it to us because of His plans for us. He wants these good things to be given to us. He urges us to continue on, to build our families and to strengthen the ties, not only within the family, but with other families of His people. We are to overcome, grow, and produce fruit, so that we will have the heart that will seek Him in everything. He wants us to be increased and not diminished. He also advises us to be at peace with other men, to have the peace around us in which we can grow in righteousness and holiness and transform into His image. When we do those things, and God's time is right, He will bring us out of our exile. But not until then. When He says the time is right, then it will be the very best time for us to come out of exile. From wherever He has scattered us, He will bring us back and settle us, giving us true rest in His Kingdom. Now, I don’t know about you, but I can hope. One day His Will, will be known to us. In the meantime, just trust that the Lord knows what He’s doing and have faith in His plan. Not yours. May His Will Be Done!

God Loves You! Jesus Loves You!! And I do too…
