Why Won’t God Heal Me?
So many of us suffer with illnesses, diseases, hunger, financial losses and so many things that we just don’t understand why it’s happening to us. Some even seem to have the worst luck a person could have. Why does God let bad things happen to good people?
I did a lesson on Faith and why it’s important. God let’s bad things happen to us because they are specifically design to strengthen your love and faith in Him. God doesn’t always physically heal everyone, because it’s just not His Will at the time. It doesn’t matter how much we may pray for healing or how strong our faith is that He will heal us. It only matters what God’s Will is for us. He will sometimes bless us in other ways, whether we see it that way or not.
If it was God’s Will for the healing of everyone who asks, none of us would be sick; none of us would ever die. Now that might sound like the best thing in our eyes, but maybe not so much in God’s. Paul’s infirmity, as shown in 2 Corinthians 12: 7-9 7 “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the brevelations, lthere was given to me pa thorn in the flesh, qthe messenger of rSatan to sbuffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord tthrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for umy strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore kwill I rather glory in my infirmities, that vthe power of Christ may rest upon me.”
At the pool of Bathesda, there were many (a huge multitude), of people seeking healing at and in the pool, yet Jesus only healed one man. You can read all about it in John Chapter 5. Now, if God refused to physically heal Paul, can you think of a reason that God wouldn’t refuse to heal you only to Bless you in other ways? I can’t think of any! And Jesus only healed one of many. Did you ever think that there might be a reason for that? I have thought of it many, many times. And I think I found the answer. GOD’S WILL.
Most see healing as a show of the person’s faith and how strong it is. That has absolutely nothing to do with God’s actual plan for us. We don’t know what God is thinking! So we need to stop with the assuming of His thoughts. When people tell you that if your belief and faith are strong enough, all you have to do is ask God and you will receive healing…don’t you believe it!!
If He were to remover your suffering, that would be great, right? And if He doesn’t, He will use your suffering for a better plan. God’s Plan.
